Cedars Christian College is a vibrant and innovative learning community that is dedicated to leading your child forward throughout the most important years of their life.

Cedars is a Prep to Year 12 independent private school with 800 students located just 10 kilometres south of Wollongong in the heart of the beautiful Illawarra. Our commitment to education begins by surrounding our students in a safe and trusted environment, where Christian values are evident in all we do. It’s positive learning where potential isn’t just recognised, it’s nurtured, and where leadership development doesn’t apply to some, but empowers all. It’s intentional thinking that results in leading students forward by preparing them to go further in life. And as they do, they’ll be impacting the world around them.

The teachers truly care about the needs of the students in their care. It is great that the school teaches from a Christian worldview, and that the teaching aligns with what we value at home. We love that our children can be educated from Prep, all the way through to Year 12 at the one site. There are numerous opportunities for our children to pursue their gifts - be it academic, sport or leadership. All of the Staff are welcoming, from Mt Walton as Principal through to the teaching staff, admin and maintenance. Cedars feels like one big family, with our children having many friends in not just their year group - but the year groups above and below.

I love looking forward.

To see what could be - because it’s all about being a visionary at heart to successfully lead our students forward in life. It’s why at Cedars, we’re intentional about forward thinking. For what we see tomorrow, informs how we lead today, so that on every level, we’re preparing lives, so they’re effectively equipped for a strong future ahead.

It’s for this reason, we recognise that we’re investing in more than just students, but a new generation who aspire for more. And that’s to make an impact on their world, in whatever field they choose.

I believe that to see students succeed in life, we need to effectively prepare them. And that’s by investing foundationally, not only by identifying and nurturing potential, but by building lives in resilience, faith, and character for a world that requires them to be strong. To be compassionate in a world that lacks compassion. To be focussed in a world that is full of distractions. To think of others first when many just think about themselves. To lead bravely, love learning and to have a deeper faith in God.

It’s what makes me proud as the Principal, to see proven results through our alumni, and learning how Cedars helped prepare the way for them to move forward into a fulfilling life.
