I warmly welcome you to Kincoppal-Rose Bay, School of the Sacred Heart. A school that educates boys and girls from 3 years of age to the end of Year 6. From Year 7 to Year 12, we educate young women, offering day and boarding places.
I am delighted to lead this outstanding Sacred Heart School.
Our school setting, on the beautiful harbour at Rose Bay, creates a sense of serenity as a backdrop to learning. From our youngest students in the Early Learning Centre who experience the joy of nature on our unique campus, in their ‘Wildtime and Beachtime’, to our Boarders who can relax and unwind in their home away from home.
As you walk the corridors, you are greeted by the sound of laughter, the thirst for greater knowledge and inquiry, and the obvious desire to do more, and be more.
Our Chapel which is situated in the heart of the main building, and our Sacred Heart Goals which inform our practice, reminds us of our rich history while we embrace a contemporary learning environment.
We belong to an International Sacred Heart network comprising 150 schools across 41 different countries. This unique network provides our students with the opportunities to take up exchanges as they learn how to live in different cultures. Moreover, our young people learn how to become globally minded citizens who are ready to embrace diversity and accept change.
Our students have a deep sense of pride about belonging to this dynamic community and embrace all its traditions and initiatives. Such a sense of belonging in conjunction with our outstanding academic care has enabled our students to perform consistently well in their HSC results. It is only one measure of why KRB is such a special place to learn, and to be.
Our alumnae continue to foster a deep connection with our community which highlights the significance of their journey. When our young men graduate from our Junior School and embark on their next stage of learning, they too remain connected to the community. They reflect upon how KRB has helped shape who they are in their formative years.
Our Sacred Heart Educators focus on each individual and this philosophy helps foster in each student their strengths, their gifts and their desire to be the best version of themselves.
We welcome the opportunity to forge authentic working partnerships with parents as we watch their children grow, develop and shine.
I look forward to embarking on this rich and rewarding experience with you.
