We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Josephine Griffiths, an educator and leader with a proven record for cultivating cultures of excellence, as Principal of our College from the commencement of the 2021 Academic Year.

Josephine has forged a highly successful career in Catholic Education, having cemented her leadership expertise as Principal Advisor - School Improvement, collaborating extensively and effectively with Senior Leaders, Principals, Leadership Teams and staff of Secondary, Primary and P-12 Colleges across the Archdiocese of Brisbane, in addition to her roles as Deputy Principal, Brigidine College Indooroopilly, Assistant Principal, St Thomas More College Sunnybank and Head of Senior School, St Edmund's College Woodend. 

Her wealth of experience is underpinned by extensive qualifications - Master of Educational Leadership (UQ), Master of Religious Education (ACU), Graduate Diploma in Education (ACU), Bachelor of Arts (UQ), Certificate IV in T.E.S.O.L and Certificate IV in Work Education – as well as being a member of the Australian Council for Educational Leadership (ACEL) and the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI). 

As a woman of spirit, integrity and wisdom, Josephine is delighted to be joining Mary MacKillop College to lead and uphold the Josephite Charism.  With a love of learning and a love of teaching central to her being, Josephine is looking forward to working with all who contribute to the very fabric of our community – students, staff, parents, Sisters of St Joseph, the Banyo-Nundah Parish and other valued partners – to nurture, challenge and empower MacKillop Women to be people of potential and purpose to live principled lives and shine. 

Growing in learning and life requires courage and the ability to take risks. Students are encouraged to set themselves high standards and to be strong and resilient in their endeavour to realise their potential.

Centrally located with bus and train transport from all Brisbane regions within two minutes of the College. We are also serviced by Red and White Coaches who offer alternate routes to cater for students who are not close to bus or train services.
