Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our dynamic school located in the pristine Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales. Our mission to work with families to develop well-rounded individuals stems from our belief in an holistic education that is underpinned by strong values and character-based education. Indeed, it does take a village to raise a child, and a strong sense of community is a core feature of Snowy Mountains Grammar School.

Our moral imperative is to inspire the next generation of citizens and leaders to act ethically, to have empathy for others less fortunate, and to make a difference by achieving excellence in their chosen pathway in life.
 
The chosen career paths of so many of our alumni are inspiring to us all. Careers are a rapidly-evolving construct in society, with an appetite for disruption now firmly embedded in globally connected economies. Scholarship and Bursary Applications for 2023 enrolment are now open!

Snowy Mountains Grammar School offers a limited number of Scholarships in the Senior School that are made available each year to students commencing in Years 7 to 11. Scholarships for Senior School students commencing in Years 7 to 11 are offered for the duration of a student’s remaining years at Snowy Mountains Grammar School until completion of Year 12. 

Snowy Mountains Grammar School (SMGS) is an award-winning leader in education with a reputation for knowing students personally and offering diverse and innovative educational opportunities with excellent outcomes.

Our Scholarship Program provides students from all around Australia with the opportunity to learn and grow in a unique alpine environment and to develop as well-rounded global citizens acting with courage and conviction as leaders of the future.

SMGS offers rigorous academic programs led by dedicated teaching professionals of the highest quality. Our school also offers unique co-curricular programs including Aviation (solo pilot’s licence and drone licence), Snowsports (all disciplines), Mountain Biking (downhill, trail and cross-country), Equestrian (beginner to elite), Music (individual and group), Arts, Drama, Digital Technology (robotics and coding), and so much more.

All our programs focus on developing students as unique individuals, aligning with our core values of Courage, Authenticity, Respect and Empathy (C.A.R.E).

Boarding Bursaries Available

SMGS also considers and provides for a limited number of Bursaries for families who otherwise could not attend the School. These are means-tested and reflect the circumstances of the individual family situation involving financial hardship. Whilst a Bursary is not linked to any of student excellence, student applicants are expected to be of good character.
