Just a few of the reasons St Gerard’s is the perfect place for your children to happily learn and grow:
- Our faith-led approach, with a focus on community awareness, social justice and each student’s wellbeing is at the core of what we do.
- St Gerard’s is the perfect size. Small enough to know your child is getting the attention they need, but big enough for quality resources and teaching staff.
- We provide traditional academics along with dedicated STEAM, Music, Sport and Library lessons, as well as extra-curricular opportunities.
- There’s space to play and get moving, with large green outdoor areas including a vegetable garden the Stage 3 children work on.
- We have an authentic sense of community, with positive and active involvement from families.
- Dedicated ‘Before and After School Care’ is available.

Making the decision about your child’s future education and wellbeing is a very important one so it is essential to find out about the school and its community.
St Gerard’s is a faith community and as such promotes a Christ-centred education. We do this in partnership with parents and parish. Our focus is inspired by our school motto, “Growing in Wisdom and Faith”, which draws from our Mercy values and tradition. A strong sense of partnership is evident in our school and is strengthened by the level of parental engagement and the great spirit of hospitality shown by children, staff and fellow parents. At St Gerard’s, teachers and students work together to create a positive and supportive school, which we believe adds to a successful learning environment.
Under strong leadership, St Gerard’s is clearly focused on quality teaching and learning. The school provides a well balanced, comprehensive and engaging curriculum, which gives all children the opportunity to become life-long learners. English and Mathematics are given time priority each day and each classroom is equipped with a range of technology to meet the needs of contemporary learners. A variety of programs are available to support student interests and learning needs. Students are provided with the opportunity to participate in Choir, Chess, Band, Maths Olympiad, Science Challenge, Public Speaking and Representative Sports.
Enrolment enquiries are welcome. Please email the school office if you wish to speak with me about the St Gerard’s school community.
Best wishes,
Barbara Yee
School Principal
