McInnes David 2The College was established by Brisbane Catholic Education in 2004, progressing from its embryonic stages in demountable accommodation on the ovals at St Thomas More Primary School, Sunshine Beach to its present location on Sea Eagle Drive in Noosaville.

The personal spiritual experiences of St Teresa, who believed that God is love and that real prayer is nothing other than the expression of a relationship of friends, is lived out in the daily life of the College. So too are the traits of the second of the dual charisms of the College, that of St Marcellin Champagant, founder of the Marist Brothers. In these two saints of the Church we have role models that challenge us to be contemplative, mystical and prophetical people whom trust in God and his providence to allow us to do the best we can in all that we do.

The College holds a strong commitment to contemporary learning and teaching frameworks, models and strategies. Engaging the students in a love of learning is an explicit priority. As parents and teachers, we want the best outcomes for our children and students, as we undertake learning that is rigorous, relevant and based on trusting relationships.

I look forward to working with our current families and new families into the future as we join to grow young people of faith who develop minds open to learning, ever ready to contribute to a better world, one based on the Joy of the Gospel.

I encourage each of us to: ‘Dare the Dream.’

ACCESS Program

The ACCESS program is a wellbeing program delivered to Year 7 - 10 students for one block per week in their timetable. The program actively supports the Vision statement of the College by encouraging and educating students about how to be authentic members of our Christian community. At the heart of the program is the Catholic teaching of Gospel values, to foster positive relationships and build happy, healthy and confident students who are holistically educated, academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually, and who are empowered to be their best self as they make their way through God's plan for them.

 A sense of partnership

The communication we receive from the College helps us feel we are in partnership in the raising of our children. Within a few weeks of our son commencing Year 7, we were given the opportunity to meet face-to-face with his House Group Leader to make sure he was settling in and feeling happy. Work has already begun on his Individual Career Pathway Plan, as the teachers help him work on his passions.

Our other son is College Captain and has been well supported during his time at St Teresa’s. The students are supported to dream big, aspire to greatness and are not pigeonholed into only a few learning areas.

Each child is treated as an individual

Our children are not only receiving a great academic education, they are nurtured and cared for as individuals. St Teresa’s offers an environment in which my children are comfortably able to learn, and to develop socially and emotionally. We have been particularly impressed by the support we have received from the College staff. The shared Catholic moral values and respect already show in our children’s behaviour and thoughts. We couldn’t be happier.

The Williams familyA ‘Dare the Dream’ approach

St Teresa’s continually seeks to provide a learning and spiritual environment for all students to become who they want to be. To have students challenged, loved and supported by a teaching cohort that is second to none is all you can ask for.

We love the sense of community that has been present since our first interview. Our eldest daughter recently graduated from the University of Qld with first class honours in Business Management. The scaffolding and learning she received at St Teresa’s helped push her to be everything she wanted to be. We know this is the right place for our other children for their learning and spiritual growth. I can’t think of a better place for our kids to find who they are and have fun making it happen.
